After 14 years with Windows XP, I bought an HP All-in-One computer 4 weeks ago
and now I have got it customised, I am delighted with it. ,no boxes or cables just WiFi,
which also connects my printer.

I bought it under the description - HP 21.5 Inch Celeron 4GB 2TB All-in-One Desktop PC,
but the processor installed is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz.

This is not a Celeron processor.

I have been in technical trouble saying I have a Celeron computer, when I have not.

Why the difference in sales description and actual product ?

Is it that HP are using "Celeron" as an overall brand name ?

It looks like you were interacting with sandytechy20, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out.

I'm Raj1788 & I'm at your service.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Are you facing any issue with the HP printer?

If yes, could you please help me with the product name or product number.

Uninstall and reinstall the Adobe software to get the latest version of Adobe Reader.

  1. In Windows, search for and open Add or remove programs.

  2. In the list of installed programs, click Adobe Reader, and then click Uninstall or Yes.

  3. If a User Account Control message displays, click Yes.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software removal. If the software uninstall process does not start or an error displays while uninstalling, download Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed (in English) from the Microsoft website, and then try uninstalling again.

  5. After Adobe Reader uninstalls, close all programs and web browsers, and then restart the computer.

  6. Open a web browser, go to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (in English), and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Keep me posted, how it goes!

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Have a great day!

Cheers:)

Welcome to HP Support Community

Let's check if the scanner is working fine. Are you able to make Photocopies?

Do you face this issue only when scanning through Photoshop?

Try scanning using the HP Smart App and let me know if you face the same issue

HP Computer Locked Up After HP Systen Restore Discs Used

Hi Guys,

I haven’t been around for a while and now I have a big dozzie of a problem, hope some one can help me with.

I have a HP Envy Pheonix 850-055qe desktop computer running on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit that over the years became intolerably slow, program constantly non-responding and many other problems.

Was advised to do a Factory Reset with four HP System Recovery Discs I had previously purchased from HP.

Entered the Recovery Manager and the discs were not recognized by the system. I had to do a F11 on start up then press "Esc" to get into and change and change the boot order to recognized the CD/DVD drive. That worked.

I stepped up from disc # 1 through disc #2, #3, and #4 with no problem along the way.

Then was advised to restart the computer and not shut it off while the system "Initialized The Software". It started with "Windows is loading files" and a white line appeared at the bottom of the screen showing the progress. Then it said "Windows Starting" then a blue screen came up with the HP logo on it. It said next, "Please wait while HP Software is Initializing", then another blue screen popped up with a HP logo on it. Then a "Debug Screen" popped up for just a second then disappeared.

A Red Screen with X: in the upper left corner of screen come up next

Then "7x.dll" and below it

"7z.exe" appeared blow it

Said "2 file(s) copied and below it

Next Said below the above, "Z-Zip (64) 9.20 Copyright <c> 1999-2010 Igor Pavlov 2010-11-18"

Then it said, "Scanning" below the above for about 2 minutes with nothing flashing by on the screen. Just "Scanning" with the cursor flashing near the end of it.

THEN, A Red Screen with "X:\windows\windows system32\cmd.exe" appeared at the the top of the Red screen. In the upper left corner it said "Red Screen FP Error".

Then a Red/white small circle with an X menu appeared saying below it; "The Software Installation Encountered an Error" in a white menu box about 3" x 4" and message in the box said,

First Line: "Summary- timed out waiting in @cmdSingle Obj"

Second Line: "Error Info:-1 unknown process error".

Third Line: "Last Bio: c:\appl.zip\preos.pi\0__001_export_base_image.bto"

Fourth Line: LastBTOline: (8) Timedout waiting for >cmd.exe/c"

Fifth Line: c:\appl\preos.pi\exportBaseImage.com W764PR"

Sixth Line: You must power down the system and restart the order

No matter what I do it always comes back to tt message above,

Any help out there. I canot get to the command prompt or windows 7 no matter what I do.

Hi

First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

Hi,

I've got a HP SimpleSave external drive and am trying to backup a folder that's located in my "Program Files" folder on my PC.. Although, I've ticked the relevant location in the list of folders to backup, the device won't save the folder. No error messages are provided.

Does anyone know what I need to do?

Thanks

Steve.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

It appears there is no current audio driver for your PC when using Windows 10.

Try the steps found at this archived HP Forum thread (Link). This method seemed to have helped quite a few folks in 2015.

You may be forced to use Microsoft's limited generic audio driver if the Windows 7 driver for your specific PC fails to install correctly.

Grahics card fan replacement / graphics card replacement

Hi ,

Hope someone can give me some advice

I have a problem that the graphics card fan cooler has become really noisey . I have cleaned off the blades  but still no good so i have taken out the graphics card for the moment (Radeon R5) as there is also integrated graphics but realsie this will slow down the system

My moniter is a widescreen and I have never been able to get the 2560 x1080 60Hz resolution it wants as there was no options in the settings

If I replace the graphics card is ther one that Ican use that would then allow this resolution to be selected. Looking at the forum  it seems that there may be issue with powerconsumption for the different cards and the power supply with the machine

Alternativley if its not possible to upgrade as i want the screen resolution  can I just replace the fan in the cooler and if so with what  as i have done a search for the current fan (ARX Cera Dyna Fan FS1250-A1342A) and cant find a replacement

The motherboard is for AMD 10- 9700 Radeon R7 processor

HP 1215T changing the boot order

0
0

Goal : reshuffle the boot order to get DVD and USB to be always be checked first for boot

PRESENT :  Have definitely  NTFS GPT drives and a FAT 32 GPT EFI Partition and a C:OS Boot GPT partition

---- ESC give me the access to  pre-startup info ;  the Boot Order are there  ( UEFI and LEGACY).

I have read online for hours about all this stuff---but confusion still exists .

PAST --- In the old days with BIOS on HP desktop , I could easlily change the boot order to get the

DVD or USB to boot first.  no problems--- .

PROBLEM :

1) changing the boot order  (( should i be trying to change the UEFI order or the Legacy ORDER ?? ))

---I think answer  is UEFI as the Lagacy is for older setup with BIOS and MBR -----???

2)  I cant seem to change the UEFI order---- I can ARROW DOWN to the DVD but when I press ENTER the

computer boots normally from C drive.

3)  Reading indicates that maybe SECURE BOOT has to be changed to allow UEFI boot order changes---

but there is confusion if this is true.

4) after making a  149GB RECOVERY IMAGE via WIN 7 64 bit stored on an EXTERNAL DRIVE, I just want to be

able to boot from WIN 7 BOOT REPAIR DISK DVD that WIN 7 made, so as to reload the RECOVERY IMAGE.

5)  Then there is also BOOT MANAGER, listed in boot order ( FIRST) --- I have only one OS, so I think BOOT MANAGER

is for dual boot ( that I do not need)------  should I move BOOT MANAGER to bottom of Boot order list or

delete it or what.

--capitalization is not yelling--- just to make reading easy.

Have a nice day------  comments welcome.

Hi, srsndguru here, What I learned about how to rearrange the boot order in the Bios Setup Utility . On my hp pav. 570-p026 Windows 10 anyhow. The configuration may differ from yours but here’s how I was able to rearrange the  the Hard Drive  option that was on the bottom of the list below the Floppy Disk and the CD/DVD options. Using the arrow keys scroll down to the USB Hard Drive option. Click enter. That hi-lights that Hard Drive option. Then on that hi-lighted Hard Drive use the arrow keys to scroll it  up to the top of the list. When you move  the hi-lighted Hard Drive to where you want to place it. Press the enter key again , the hi-light dissapears and there it stays, now at the top of the list. Hope this helps. Im still learning this stuff.
