HP does not have a Windows 7 version of express cache.

Advise the make and model of your SSD and I will try to locate with the manufacturer.

Downgrading to windows 8 to windows 7

I have a HP Pavilion 500-014d that has a windows 8 OS and i wanted to downgrade it to windows 7. I've tried using a different HDD first to test the drivers, but unfortunately it was not booting from the DVD and found out that the ODD was secured. i found ways to disable its security and able to boot from the DVD i have formatted and install my windows 7 using a new  HDD. But as i return the original HDD from from my HP Pavilion it was not booting again from the DVD.

Are the HDD packages with the system are also secured?

How can i disable it?

Make and model as OS of the computer required.

All your Windows Updates all installed and up to date.

I presume you are getting a BSOD because of this and at what point.

You say you have CCleaner, have you ran the registry cleaner from it?

From an elevated command Prompt run sfc /scannow  It will take a while.

We are glad to have been of service.

May I add a word of advice now that your system is healthy and set up to the way you want.  Download and create an image backup to an external drive once a week.  If you have a problem you can easily restore the backup to your computer with ease.  No more searching for this and that.  Use Macrium Reflect Free from this site: don't forget to create the rescue disk.

System Recovery stuck on "Please Wait"

My HP Pavilon g6 that I purchased in 2012 crashed on me a few days ago due to complications that I had with a virus.  When I turn it on, it will go to a black screen where it says "preparing automatic repair" and then will switch to a black screen for hours on end with no indications of progress.  I purchased the HP recovery discs and have booted my PC up using the recovery discs but it keeps stalling when I get to a certain point every time.  The top of the page says "Factory Image Recovery Preperations" and the box next to "Reformating the Windows partition of the hard drive" Is checked.  The Progress is stuck at 0% and the bottom left says please wait.  The Back, Next and Cancel buttons in the bottom right do not work.  Please Help me as soon as possible
