1) Being able to enter the BIOS... good.
2) New cable and seeing the hard drive... good.
3) "Windows could not start due to error in the software. load needed DLLs for kernel" error... means you need to repair or reinstall Wndows.
4) "PXE-E53 NO BOOT FILENAME RECEIVED" error... means the computer tried to boot from the NIC (network interface card) and couldn't... no issue here.
What discs are you trying to boot the computer from??? Do you have the HP Recovery Discs you made when you first setup this computer??? Have you ran diagnostics on the hard drive??? What brand and model number is the hard drive???
First, test the hard drive... download the correct hard drive diagnostic suite from the manufacturer of the hard drive. Burn the file (ISO) to a CD. Boot the computer with this disc in the CD/DVD drive. You may have to press a key when requested, to boot from the CD. Report your findings. This is to verify that the hard drive is good and doesn't have any errors.
Second, download the Windows 7 SP1 32-bit ISO and burn the image to a DVD. Or you can download a Linux distro if you prefer. Boot the computer with this disc in the CD/DVD drive. You may have to press a key when requested, to boot from the DVD. Install Windows 7 or Linux, answering all question or prompts as needed. Report your findings. This is just test of the computer... to verify everything works as it should.
If you have you HP Recovery Discs, insert disc #1 into the computer and reboot the computer. You may have to press a key when requested to boot from the CD. Following all prompts to perform an HP System Recovery. Report your findings.
