I am back for more help.
Ok here is where I am at.
I ended up buying windows 7 64bit from a friend who recently built a new computer for himself and went with windows 8.
It is a full install cd and product key not an upgrade. When I put the cd in everything goes along fine until It needs the SATA drivers. I have spent 2 days now trying to locate the correct driver first of all and then trying to figure out how to pull the Specific driver that I need from the file I download and move just that to my flash drive.
Unfortunately either I didnt ask for help from the forums @Nvidia in the proper manner or they are not as willing to help people with questions as tedious as ...Can you tell me if this is the correct driver download for my chipset..........After waiting 2 days and my question viewed dozens of times I have yet to receive a response. I decided to give it a shot here since you were not only knowledegable but willing to help as well.
This is the info that I have regarding the motherboard and the chipset.
M2N61-AR Acacia ----motherboard
GeForce6150 SE NForce430-----chipset
307.74-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe----the file I THINK MIGHT BE correct for use with my chipset. Not positive about that though and that is why I was seeking advice on their forum.
If correct how can I get just the SATA driver onto a flash drive so that I can point the windows installer to it to continue the installation.
I have also been exploring my recovery disks that I made and did find on them a folder containing what I believe is the and SATARAID drivers. Is there a way to move them to flash drive and be useable.
I am so confused at this point, if you can't tell that but I am stubborn and refuse to give up.
Thanks again
