Pavilion a1610n with ACPI AWY0001 unknown device on Windows 7

From what I have noticed in this thread is that all the solutions for this driver have been for WinXP only.  I installed

Windows 7 (64bit) on an HP pavilion a1610n desktop with an unknown device of ACPI AWY0001 and the above solutions didn't work for me since it kept telling me that it was for the wrong version of Windows (XP versus 7).

The solution that worked for me (Win 7) was to download the following file:

link =

http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Chipset/Chipset_NVIDIA_15.49_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634112394161505905&Step1=Desktop&Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire M1420&OS=742&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=PA_7

file downloaded from above link =

Chipset_Nvidia_15.49_Win7X86x64_As M3350.zip

I unzipped the above zip file and then ran the following file =

Chipset_Nvidia_15.49_Win7X86x64_As M3350\NFref_1549_w7vs64\setup.exe

===============

When the setup was done the driver was successfully installed and the description in device manager was

"NVIDIA Away Mode".
