Hi! Thank you for your response. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I used the HP Recovery Disks to reinstall my system yesterday morning and have the exact same problem. Those same drivers are not installed. I have had this computer since last October, and three months ago, it was picked up and fixed because the two front USB 3 ports became damaged when I inserted my flash drive. Part of the blue insert had broken off and become stuck in the flash drive. The exact same thing happened when I tried to use the second front USB 3 port. I removed some broken pieces from the openings of the ports but still saw more inside. I was able to insert my flash drive into the bottom port completely, but doing so caused a flash/spark, when I observed in the space between the media readers and the on/off button, and then my computer shut down completely. Could the current problem of drivers not installing possibly be related to that previous one? Could it have damaged my motherboard or ???
