Recovery Manager Disarray

During the process of a system recovery,  I was prompted with the option to save various files.

I had already gone through the system with Puppy Linux, and manually saved various crucial files, but I was hoping to save some mail, and particularly the mail settings from the Windows Mail client.  So, when presented with the option, I selected only "mail" to be saved  during the HP recovery process.  It was saved to a USB flash Drive.

Have completed the recovery, I now have the saved files, but am lost on how to restore whatever was saved in this back up file.  I was able to get the file opened, but they are all  eml. and .dbx files, sitting in recovery folders in my C .

The posts I've read on this subject, all appear to be regarding upgrades from older clients, ie Outlook Express, or to newer Windows 7 or 8 clients . Mine are simply files saved from the Vista Win mail recovery process, to Vista  win mail.
