On your model, Windows 7 should install most of the drivers automatically.

The reason that HP does not offer W7 drivers for your PC because the onboard graphics adapter cannot fully run all of the features of W7.

There are no graphics drivers for it.

If you have already committed to purchasing windows 7, you can try this workaround using a notebook PC graphics driver to install the graphics adapter. It may or may not work.

Download and run this graphics driver. You may get an unsupported operating system error. Close out of any error windows.

Go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters category. Click on the Standard VGA adapter.

Click on the Driver tab. Click on Update Driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software method, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the above file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and hopefully the driver will install.

It may only work on W7 32 bit, there are no graphics drivers or any tricks to get that graphics adapter to work with W7 64 bit.

If you did not purchase windows 7 yet, I recommend you do not upgrade because of the above incompatibility.
