Microsoft will no longer provide secutity updates for Win XP in April 2014.
You may want to upgrade to Win 7. Please refer to this Microsoft Support article on minimun system requirements for upgrading to Win 7.
You need to review your system specifications to determine what version (32 bit or 64 bit) your system supports.
You can pick up an OEM version of win 7 for about $99.00 USD.
Please refer to this site for additional information or you can purchase at the vendor of your choice if you are interested in upgrading your system.
