I am sorry to hear about your problems. I have updated my HP computer from Win 7 to Win 8 and to Win 8.1. I have not had any problems at all. I guess I am simply lucky.
When requesting help you should always include the make/model of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of them. Once I have this information, I will see what I can do to help you.
