I have a new HP Pavillion 500 desktop PC with Windows 8.1 and want to run face recognition log-in. I've downloaded the SP60812.exe program from the HP website and when I tried to install it I received a message stating I needed HP Protect Tools Security Manager 7.00 before I could complete installation of the face recognition program. I've downloaded the Security Manager 8.1.0.1451 program (also from the HP support site) and haven't tried to install it yet, but I'm not sure if this is acceptable for use on a desktop. Am I going about this correctly or is there a better way? I don't want to screw up my new computer and have to do a restore. Any suggestions are appreciated.
