Trying to replace old, locked up Segate HD with new HD using my set of Vista 64 Recovery disks.
Attempting to put in a 2TB WD Mainstream hard drive as replacement.
When I finish the System Restore and it shows it is loading Windows i get an error that says "Windows setup could not configure Windows to run on this computers hardware".
I did go in to the Bios setting and change the Sata setting from Raid to ACHI which was suggested in forum, but, that did not work and I recieved the same message when I tried to re-install the system recovery disks after making the Bois change.
Is it imposssible to install this HD with this system?
Not sure is this is because the new HD is Advanced Format, or if there is anything else I can do?
