Sometime last year, I was having a problem installing the software for a printer on my Pavilion desktop. Three HP tech wizards took remote control of the computer. Not one of them could solve the problem, nor did they tell me they couldn’t; they just disappeared into the woodwork. So I had to do it myself. I pressed the NumLock button and just installed the software as I would install any software.
But I had to pay for this service! That being the case, I’d like one of these tech wizards to take remote control of this admittedly very old computer again and get it running the way it should.
Some of the problems I’ve encountered:
Websites becoming non-responsive and useless until they decide to respond again.
According to PrivaZer and PCMatic, too much of the system’s resources are being squandered, making the computer sluggish and undependable.
Too much RAM is also squandered.
Operating system: Windows XP.
