Re: Would 'Return your computer to factory condition' remove malware?

I agree with every thing gator said, however I do not believe in snake oil programs that claim to speed up you PC and make it run better. I use one program that has been around for ever. CCleaner will clear the clutter. It also has a mild registry cleaner that I have used and trust. Restoring back to factory can always fail, especially if you're using discs. That's why I have recovery media on a USB. Not fool proff but better than Discs. Like gator said nothing is 100%. That's why I have the recovery discs, the recovery USB and a back up image of my OS on two separate external drives that I create with  3rd party programs called Macrium Reflect and Paragon. Both are freeware. You can use REVO uninstaller to remove programs and worthless tool bars. I'm attaching a screen shot showing programs I allow on my PC. Yes I'm running a Toshiba machine, but only till the hardware goes bad and then it will be HP all the way. I know what everyone of these programs do. You don't need a bunch of tool bars or snake oil programs to keep your PC running smooth.

Dokie!

PS If you want to down load Revo and attach a screen shot of programs running on your PC, I will try to help you decide or eliminate some you don't need.
