Password Reset Disk Wizard wants to use Drive F---I don't have a Drive F

HP Pavilion Desktop p6610f  Windows 7 Home Premium  64bit  Just installed new hard drive and all new updates, new programs etc.  I created system repair disk and a full back up and wante to create a password reset disk. When I click on "Create a Password Reset Disk" in the control panal and I start following the wizard, it asks me to put a memory key into Drive F.  I don't have any USB keys or drives if that is what is meant.  I was going to use a DVD-RW disk, but obviously I am unable to do that.  Why does it say to create a  "DISK"  in one place and then when I go there, it says I need to use  a  "KEY"  in   "DRIVE  F"?  If I  purchase a USB flash drive, is that the same as a memory key? And...I have several USB ports, can any of them be used with the USB plug to store memory or data?  I looked in the "Help" section and it just said to click on "Create a Password Reset "Disk". Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
