The dialog box states as follows:
SQL Writer: SQLDUMPER library failed initialization. Your installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with. Please uninstall then re-run setup to correc this problem.
I don't understand what I am supposed to uninstall or how. I'm not sure how to re-run setup because after all the updates and now running SP3, I never made new installation/backup disks. I suppose I could try going back to a restore point before the SQLDUMPER failed. IF I go back to a restore point that is prior to the failure, will I be able to get all the Windows Updates from that point to this date? Is it necessary for me to do all that in order to upgrade to Windows 8.1? I thought the computer had to be wiped out and completely reformatted for Windows 8.1, but how do I ensure that I have a proper boot disk before installing Windows 8 or 8.1 and after I install it? I suppose the Windows 8 upgrade disk and instructions will tell me how to make the boot disk when it's installed.
I need to correct the SQLDUMPER library problem. I need to do whatever it takes to back-up my computer and make a boot disk. I need to do this so I can try to upgrade to Window 8.1.
I also have a problem with my LightScribe DVD Writer/CD-Writer working. It doesn't always read CDs that I put in it. I know something is on the CD, but my DVD/CD can't read it for some reason. I try to upgrade the driver, but it still doesn't seem to work.
Can anyone help me?
I'd truly appreciate it.
