Unfortunately, there was not the option given to reply NO!.
I am not happy with the responses from the forum or from HP's service help line.
After spending quite a while and effort I finally decided on the HP Envy 700-216 which has not left me a satisfied customer.
I believed my needs were simple for a computer of this magnitude and specs. After all, a 2 TiB HDD should allow space and opportunity to set up to different operating systems: Windows 8.1 and inux Mint Debian Edition. Unfortunately, the complex BIOS make this virtually impossible. I can get both OS's onto the HDD, but when configuring GRUB to offer the option, opening the Windows 8.1 OS re-sets the BIOS and I have to reconfigure it to get back to LMDE.
Sincerely,
