Regarding the error message you are seeing, I asked for you to provide us exactly how the error is appearing.
Can you please write exactly what is appearing on your screen?
Also, can you tell me the computer model you have, HP has several series of desktop and notebook computers and they can come with different versions of the operating systems. Normally you have a sticker on the back, side or bottom of the computer chassis with this information , also the O.S version should also be there, so can you check this and provide that feedback?
Also, were you able to check in BIOS to see if the HDD is detected and have you tried to run the HP recovery image using F11 to install windows again?
