I must confess that when I bought this AIO less than 40 days ago, I had high hopes. Bigger screen, AIO, tuochscreen, what could go wrong? I am returning my 2nd replacement today to the store where it was purchased- for OS problems. The first time, could not get past the registration screen. Ok, no biggie, got a new one. Today, total crash of the system, could not turn on/off with the button the top, even when shutting down and removing the cord, etc. from the AIO, plugging it back in, and trying to follow what little onscreen instructions were able to come up, nothing. When I hit the Restore now box after a very slow loading screen, nothing by blackness on the screen. When I called the store's computer support, they could not help and said I needed to bring it in for diagnostics. Well, the system self diagnosed and said Windows could not load. What a surprise given the reviews on Windows 8 (although I must admit I like Windows 8).
I have been a fan of HP for years and advocated to my hubby that I wanted this (he is a huge iMac person so we have a split household here). For the amount of money this system cost, it would seem to me that HP could produce and manufacture a product that works.
I have no idea what to replace it with- I just know I am very disappointed in this product. And since I work from home, it really puts me in a bind and I am now using the company provided laptop, which ironically, is an HP Elitebook 6930p albeit an old one.
I am returning this second one and not replacing it with an HP. There would have to be a compelling reason for me to return to HP.
