Well that sucks but it's not supprising with Windows. They are always finding ways to make you have to buy something from them. All I can say is if anyone is considering buying a new computer please make sure you are willing to learn a new version of Windows that is nothing like the last one at all ( might be OK if your into smart phone useage really heavy). If you don't tatally understand how a smart phone works you better stay far away from Windows 8 because I'm told that everything about it is just like a smart phone. I would know, I don't have a smart phone and never want one. We use Verizon for our cell phones and we can't even get their internet service out here where we live, plus it doesn't look like they will have it available for who knows how many years down the road. I'm not spending almost $200.00 to replace an operating system that I just bought on a new computer. I will probably just sell the computer and buy a different one and trust me it want be an HP this time since no one bothered to tell me that I could still get one with Windows 7 and that Windows 8 looked like all the apps on a smart phone.
