I am having a frustrating problem with Office Starter.
When I had to do a clean install ofWindows 7 64bits in January I used a bare bones version of Windows without all the extras. I was led to this, I think, by the Microsoft Answers forum, along with a really good method to install it. It went OK. I found an Office Starter.exe somewhere, I forgot where, and it installed and worked perfectly for seven months.
Then it developed the "Microsoft Office has encountered a problem with licensing and will need to close" syndrome. I wanted to uninstall and reinstall it but I couldn't get it to uninstall properly. I finally found and used the Microsoftfixit. program install/uninstall tool and got it uninstalled. Than I could never get it to install- got several different error messages.
After trying a couple of suggestions from Microsoft Answers it came down to reinstalling Windows. I don't want to do that again.
If I buy an Office Home and Student 2013 installation disk how likely is it to install, given all the problems I have experienced with Office Starter?
