When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and/or product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes over one hundred sixty different models of a6000 series of computers. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving the issue.
The above requested information can be found on the side, back, or bottom of the computer. Please do not include your serial number.
Since you can no longer see any drives... hard disk or optical disc... I would bet that the motherboard SATA controller may have bit the dust.
