I am sorry to hear that you only have the restore point back to an hour ago. You are not stuck, you just cannot use the Windows System Restore option to recover your Windows 8.0. What you need to do is a full System Recovery. You can do this buy following the HP Support document titled Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8). This will recovery your system back to the state is was in when you purchased it.
