The HPSA is incredibly fussy -- big code, does lots of things, depends on a stable environment.

Thanks for your comments.  That's exactly what concerns me!  Incredibly fussy, big code.
Many folks try to uninstall it and end up plagued with errors.

Wish I had never installed it cause it doesn't do anything that other programs don't do or things that can easily be done manually.  If I can't get it to run smoothly I will probably op to disable all of it rather than try to uninstall and end up with more issues.  I have the tools to uninstall and force uninstall if necessary but I wouldn't risk a corrupted OS just to get rid of it.  There are pages and pages on this forum dealing with HP Support Assistant Problems and it seems many go unresolved.

Up to this point, I am satisfied with my HP hardware and I like 8.1 but sooner or later I will probably obtain an 8.1 ISO and do a clean install without all the bloatware.  People with new computers have had enough issues to deal with after the 8.0 to 8.1 upgrade without having to deal with HPSA problems.
