Actually ,I was trying to save you some money.The exact same hdd can probably be ordered or purchased from a retailer for much less than HP charges for the same drive...at least the last time I looked at HP price several years ago. For instance >> 500GB hdd w/5 yr warranty can be had for around $75 at retail.
